Oil on Rear Brakes - Bentley. We have found experimentally that if an axle, filled to the correct level, be tilted 30° the oil in the differential box will pour past the present flingers. We think that a centrifugal force equivalent to a 30° inclination is easily obtainable on the road. No. 4 of the schemes shown on N.Sch.4193 appears therefore the best solution of the trouble. Will you therefore let us have details of this scheme as soon as possible so that we can fit it to 5-B-IV for a 10,000 miles test. We should also like details of similar schemes to try on the 40/50 and 20/25. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
