(1) Hold a damper to the frame as on the 40/50 rear and see if the same type of knock is audible. (2) Repeat test with a 20 HP. front type of mounting and see if knock is in evidence. (3) If knock is in evidence with (2) we can use one of our old restricted dampers to test and see if restrictions overcome the trouble. (4) Prepare a case to take the valve with .250 dia. valve stem.
