Dear Mr Grylls, I am arranging with our Sales Department to have forwarded to you three further sets of six linings each for the brake servo clutch. They will be called Ferodo VM.30, Ferodo B.Z. and Ferodo S.5060. This will make five experimental sets that you have recently received from us, and we sincerely hope that one or other of these five will be successful. May I just point out with regard to the three qualities listed above that it is very probable that their stable characteristic will not be attained until they have run far enough to remove some .006" or .007" from their working face. I believe that you do take this into account, but I take leave to mention this again because it is particularly applicable to the above three qualities. I shall be interested to hear your news, and remain, Yours very truly, J.N. Longley. Chief Chemist, FERODO LIMITED. | ||
