Dynamo 1337 was fitted with a 28 slot armature, being otherwise standard and put in 10 GIII which has run with it, about 12,000 miles in France. The main brush position was about 4° retarded, but the control brush was set to give a peak output of nearly 12.0 amperes at 80°C. The machine has now been replaced by a standard one on the car, and returned to us. The insulation is OK. There is a general thin deposit of carbon dust on the surfaces under the cover but no thick accumulations. The brushes are free in their holders but (cont'd) Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
