SrI/ET.30.II.36 - 2 - As I pointed out to Hamilton, I think that they have perhaps gone a little too far to obtain excellent road holding on their car, it being accepted, I presume by all and sundry that one would not expect to race a six facing forward 30 H.P. round bends, etc., Bentley manner. At the present time, I can drive their car over my particular course almost as fast as a Bentley. There is no movement on the steering at all, which is a distinct advantage. If the road holding qualities could be maintained in some manner and the springing of the rear seat improved, the 30 H.P. problem, in my opinion, would be answered. Improving the rear springing, however, will undoubtedly be a difficult problem in conjunction with the actual road holding. I would just like to add that the more I drive this type of car (25/30 HP.), the more I feel that it is a car that has seen its day and I sympathise with all those people that have to spend hours, and days, and months trying to make a motor car of it.
