X.2894. Tungsten contact points and distributor rotors.

We have received indirect information that the Repair dept. have a standing order with the electrical production dept. for periodical quantities of tungsten contact points and also periodically a number of ignition rotors.

We have not received any direct complaint, except perhaps isolated cases, of either item being seriously at fault, so that it is natural to conclude that there is nothing seriously wrong with either item.

We should like to have more information as to the reason why these replacements are necessary, both as you see the matter and from the various depots to which a copy of this note is addressed.
