| X212 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}13/KT.8.12.33. BENTLEY CLUTCH PRESSURE PLATES. One of these pressure plates made in cast iron has burst on a production car. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} wants us to try steel forgings in order to find out whether the splines will bind owing to running steel on steel. Will you please make us two pressure rings to the attached N.Sch.3900, one to be in S/M and the other in S/N. We think that this scheme together with the drawing of the present cast iron plate will be sufficient for you to make them from. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
