Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/MJ.9.8.33. 25 HP. CLUTCH CONTROL. Referring to our conversation when you were at Derby that you would like some form of automatic clutch control fitted to the 25 HP. car you are using. After considerable experience with the full automatic scheme, the arrangement which we consider was the best was a scheme whereby as soon as the throttle was shut the load on the clutch pedal was reduced by approximately 50%. This meant that the driver still controlled the car in the normal way with the clutch pedal but there was only half the load on the pedal when driving under traffic conditions. This scheme is quite attractive and could be made practically foolproof. We propose fixing this up on one of the 25 HP. Expl. cars and when we are satisfied with it we could arrange to send a man with the parts to Cricklewood and carry out the alterations on your car. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
