+342 DY.{F R Danby} from HDY.{William Hardy} c.c. E.B. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} RMC. HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.3.10.35. Stone Guard for Rear Shock Dampers. Phantom 3. We send herewith N.Sch.4650 which shows protection for the rear dampers against stones which becomes more necessary when the dampers are turned end for end as with the autolock dampers to N.Sch.4525. We may ultimately prefer to attach the shield to the damper, but at first in view of the temporary fitting of non-autolock dampers (also turned round) we think this scheme will be more convenient. We have modified the bellows casing on the damper to give a vertical attachment of the control pipe and avoid handing this piece. Standard dampers already have a vertical connection. This guard should be fitted to the next 10,000 mile car for France. Fitted to Speche II HDY.{William Hardy} | ||
