REPORT ON 4 EX JUST RETURNED FROM AMERICA.

Low Tension Contact Maker. X.4275 X.1819 X.2894.

Regarding the rocker, this has the rather serious defect of being very difficult to remove in case the points are out of order. It would be rendered much easier, as is done in the Delco. We have noticed so far that the points of this appear to be tungsten, and shew only slight signs of destruction, but we do not know how much running these have done.

Coil. X.4275 X.3485.

Regarding the coil, we think our pattern makes a neater application, is more elegant, and better protected than the Bosch design. We think the Bosch people could easily make this for you, ours being a better shape and better enclosed for space at disposal. We shall be glad if you will get them to supply our design.

Ballast Resistance. X.4275 X.3716.

Regarding the ballast resistance unit, this as made by the Bosch Company is an extremely nice little fitting, simple and admirable, and it should serve its purpose well. There is no reason why it should not be fitted in, on, or near the distributing box, and so be in a safe place; it could be on the outside of one of the vertical sides of the box.
