[Typed]: Cx {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} 2/KW.2.7.32. [Typed]: It occurred to me after I had sent you my note (Cx {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} 16/KW.1.7.32) yesterday about the above car on the subject of axle and wheels, that you may consider the springing of that car too light for a trial of such a nature as the International Alpine Trial, and perhaps you would be good enough to look into the question and let us have your recommendations as to whether you think these ought to be changed. From personal experience of that car I found the springs to be light and others have also thought similarly and commented on the steering, partly I believe for that reason. Also, would it be possible for you to increase the steering lock of that car to any small extent in the same way that you did for the 40/50 for Mr.Pass No.28-MS. Now that we shall have to lend Mr.Pass 20-G4 for the trial possibly you may be able to make any further suggestions about this car to make it as appropriate and as suitable for the job as possible. You will no doubt have the benefit of the experience of the man who accompanied Mr.Pass during last week, and when you are fully conversant with the situation and what is required will you be good enough to let me know how long the work to the car would take. Mr.Pass wants it on the 23rd July, and we want to use it as much as we can until it is required by him, bearing in mind also the extra time you will require to change whatever parts additional to the axle and wheels you consider advisable.
