To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} 1336 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/KW.14.3.35. Grinding of semi-split Pistons. After examining the semi-split pistons ground to B.V.42, as removed from SpectreCodename for Phantom III 2 car, it is obvious that this is not satisfactory. We therefore wish to cancel our instructions contained in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/KW.4.2.35. and should like you to grind the long type semi-split pistons to E.85545/6. At the same time we should like you to put another set of these pistons in hand up to the grinding stage. If you will let us know when they are ready we will send them to the Aerolite Piston people so that they can grind them to the form we require. As they have the necessary cam forms this should save a certain amount of trouble. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
