In reply to your letter of October 3rd, we beg to inform you that the capacity of the new type XSM7 battery recently supplied by us to you in moulded ebonite container will be identical as regards capacity and weight with the battery previously supplied for your 20-HP model, type 6 XL3-4, viz., Capacity when fully charged:- Starting - for 5 minutes .... 110 amps. Lighting - at 3 amperes .... 17 hours. The weight of the battery will be approximately 80 lbs. Unfortunately we did not take the actual weight of the sample battery, and 80 lbs. is an estimated figure but will, we think, prove very accurate.
