To EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from BJ. BJ11/H7.4.22. [Handwritten annotations]: Noted. Archer coverly Worwal note Mssrs fec and ours to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} about the matter X4086 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 8/4/22 GOSHAWK TEST CARS. Confirming our conversation on the telephone to-day, C.J. has now agreed that in order to expedite the testing of the Goshawk and to get it finished as quickly as possible, we agree that you should have the amateur car which is now having the body fitted in London for the Technical Department to make use of for tests. You will then arrange for the limousine car to be brought up to date as far as you consider necessary to be used for the amateur test, and for this work to be put in hand at once and completed as soon as possible. Under these circumstances I shall not require this car for use at Easter. It is felt that the lock-out is bound to cause delay in delivery of the Goshawks and that therefore the amateur test can be delayed in this manner. B.J. | ||
