-2- In view of the fact that the bearing has only been subjected to a run of 10 hours under test conditions, we should appreciate it if you would kindly let us know the actual conditions under which the bearing has been put to work, namely speed and load. Replying to paragraph four of your letter, we presume that this refers to the unbroken outer race. If so, we find that the crack in the centre of the race is only local and is the result of canting. We now beg to return the acknowledgement form of your order R.13286 herewith completed and hope that the matter has been satisfactorily disposed of.
