Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HWS/AD23.5.31. contd. -2- The complaint of the starter on 34-XJ was gone into and has been reported to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} and Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} The question of N. repairing switchboxes has been gone into with Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} and he has agreed that if Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} sends his man up to Derby to learn how to make a satisfactory job, he is quite willing for N. to do the switchbox repairs. At present the customer has to make two journeys in a case of switchbox trouble, one to have a spare fitted while his own is repaired and then a return journey to have his own refitted owing to the question of the keys which also fit the bonnet locks. We left with Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} a scheme for testing out cars for ignition failure which we have also sent to H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} at Sales for the inspectors and to Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} here. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HEW. | ||
