Mr. Hancock from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

In your report, when you say - steering improved at high speeds (this is quoted from report on 9-G-111 15.6.25) we suggest that you either give a reason why it has improved, or say no reason can be given.

I certainly think you are right in dismantling the bottom half to see the cause of the oil leak.

93-NK Clutch. We should like you to do some investigations as regards the clutch not stopping. It is agreed that the difficulty with the clutch stopping occurred when the engine gets hot. The point we wish to satisfy ourselves on is that the difference between hot and cold is due entirely to the viscosity of the oil in the gearbox. We should like to know, when the clutch will not stop whether, if the engine is stopped and the clutch pressed right out, the clutch can be turned easily? I have a suspicion that when it gets hot, owing to expansion, we are not getting full travel on the clutch. We should be greatly obliged if you could spend some time in investigating this point.

We are also very anxious to get more information as regards the water temperature on 93-NK.
