WHEELCASE & FITTINGS. LOP EB.2707.
Existing, complete to above LOP incorporating:-
Ex.23022 Relief Valve on Wheelcase
LeC.4412 Relief Valve.
N.S.4235-4238 Rad.Crossmember & engine mtg.
cent. mtd. Radiator.
I - EB.2303 Bearing.
I - EB.2304 Bearing Carrier.

OIL RELIEF VALVE. LeC.4412.
Existing, complete to above Scheme incorporating:-
EB.2383 Casing. EB.2392 Spring.
.080" Thick alum.washers.

The fan pulley boss was found to have touched the wheel case. As it was not audible starting from cold, we attribute it to the slack in the main bearing rather than insufficient clearance. Oil leaked at this point. The chance of oil leak here would be reduced if a breather pipe was provided on the crankcase. The only breathing at present is to the air silencer. The new arrangement of relief valves is good and lubrication is more satisfactory to the rocker shaft than with the previous method.

The engine gears were quiet throughout the mileage.

With the flexible engine mounting a new arrange-ment of the controls is necessary. The mixture control would not remain in the "weak" position as the engine movement was sufficent to move the control knob several notches towards the "strong" position when the car was in motion. It had to be disconnected. The ignition control is continually on the move, but does not actually jump any notches. The hand throttle and damper control were all right.

FAN. LOP EB.189.
Complete to above LOP, except that the fan hub EB.1644 is produced in A/C replacing I/C, and the blades are produced in duralumin.

This was fitted at 3616 miles and has shown no weaknesses in 13,300 miles.

IGNITION TUBE WITH JOHNSON & PHILLIPS CABLE.

These were fitted at 3616 miles and have proved satisfactory during the mileage.
