Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. C. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} WST ~6117 BY/RD3/W.27.11.35. WIRING. As you are aware, on "Phantom III" chassis we are adjusting the sizes of the conductors more nearly to suit the current of the particular circuits, to avoid using very large conduits. We have also issued experimentally a similar scheme which we believe was fitted to Bentley V.{VIENNA} With the introduction of the big bore 20/25 H.P., together with the petrol pumps, wind tone horns (perhaps) and simplified petrol system, etc., we are faced with the necessity of increasing the sizes of the conduits, or alternatively, using the revised conductors which occupy less room. We propose, therefore, to adopt the latter method. We attach hereto a list which gives particulars of the sizes of the conductors used on various circuits. Will you please let us have your remarks, if any, as quickly as possible. BY/RD | ||
