To E.H. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c.c. to J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} c.c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL R2/B14:6:17. Re R.R.C.H. Carburetters. With reference to your memo EH5/AT11:6:17, I have no knowledge of this small vent hole, except it may have been put in to prevent flooding through an air lock, which is impossible as far as we can see with equalizing. Who did it? FWR R.{Sir Henry Royce} Perhaps it was put in to prevent syphoning, if so, can we arrange it so that petrol spilling can be avoided or the hole go inside. FWR If not needed by all means cancell FHR RECEIVED 15 JUN 1917 | ||
