3½ LITRE BENTLEY.

In reply to your verbal request for information re. braking, acceleration, and weights of Bentley cars, we hope the following figures will be of use to you.

Braking.

The following figures were obtained on the original Bentley car, since these figures were obtained we have improved the brakes, so that we should expect the present braking performance of these cars to be better than this.

Stopping distance in feet to rest.

Acceleration.

The following figures were obtained on our experimental open car which weighs 28¼ cwt. (11/41 Axle Ratio).

Top Gear.
10 - 20 m.p.h. - 4.4 secs.
10 - 30 " - 7.6 "
10 - 40 " - 11.9 "
10 - 50 " - 16.0 "
10 - 60 " - 20.9 "
10 - 70 " - 29.3 "
10 - 80 " - 40.5 "

Standing start through gears to 80 m.p.h. - 32.4 secs.

Body Weights.
We attach some weight figures which we have obtained for our experimental Bentley bodies. This is all the information we have at present in connection with weight of bodywork, and we hope it will be of some use to you.
