RE: OIL FILLERS ON CHASSIS.

I am handing you herewith some jointing washers which have been produced in 'Gaco' to replace the leather which under certain conditions has given trouble due to the fact that it is rather hard in the first place, and secondly under certain conditions the leather got burnt and hardened up, so that it became brittle.

'Gaco' will stand 180°C without deteriorating, it is not a rubber but a synthetic compound which will withstand the effects of lubricating oil satisfactorily up to that temperature.

The two black samples are 65 Shore hardness, and the red samples are 75 Shore hardness (I am sending three of each), the piece numbers are E.59182 - 6 off three being red and three black, and E.84667 - 6 off three being red and three black.

Would you be good enough to have these tested and inform us whether they act satisfactorily.
