No. X155 REF. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG19. 8. 34. OBJECT OF TEST. TESTER. Report on Discol Fuel for car engines. (40/50) Parkinson. CONDITIONS. Road tests. SUMMARY OF TEST. Discol is an alcohol mixture produced by The Hammersmith Distillery Co. It is used considerably for racing engines. It enables much higher compression to be used. We should not recommend it for use on 40/50 or 20 HP. engines. It requires considerable alteration to the adjustment of the carburetter to enable the engine to run on it. It also requires more heat.
