Handwritten: X8250 X8260 X8500 A mock-up bonnet, radiator, and dash, is being produced immediately by the Experimental Department in order that we may fit it to an existing car so that B.J. and others may judge its appearance. We feel that the only sure way of doing this is to have the scuttle of a suitable open touring car rebuilt to suit the new dimensions, by a coachbuilder. We would be glad to know whether Sales have such a body which they could spare, or whether HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} would allocate one of his for the purpose. This body so converted would not be wasted, as it would be of use for testing EAC. 11. chassis. We think that to attempt to build up a scuttle out of paper or fabric would lead us to false conclusions. We are anxious to get the bonnet, radiator, and dash dimensions finally fixed, as we are waiting to instruct these parts, and each alteration causes fresh design. We suggest that EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} be informed when the complete modified car is ready, so that he may inspect it and ensure that it does conform to the design and appearance as intended by WW.
