Attached is a copy of a report from Waller indicating an adjustment that had to be made to the silent tappets during the 15,000 miles' running. Since during investigation of petrol starvation the car was running for long periods on weak mixtures, and this treatment caused the sparking plugs to burn up in an astonishing manner, we consider that the valve gear gave extremely satisfactory results.
