think this idea could be applied to the 40/50.

All this would help towards cooler bodies, cowls and engines.

Then we have a scheme we are just about to try (sketch attached) for keeping hot air away from the foot plate in the cowl and at the same time simplifying the flywheel guard.

We do not get gas in the body since abandoning the cut out and taking the breather outlet under the gearbox undersheet.

Finally, have you ever tried on the 40/50 a six blade straight-vane water pump rotor like we had on the aero engines? I am convinced that our circulation though good is not fast enough. We get much boiling in this summer weather which has recently been 90° and 96° in the shade.
