With reference to C.1/C21.11.31.

We are experimenting with a different type of silent tread. We attach a photograph of this tread marked with a cross compared with the present silent tread type of tyre.

We agree that the existing silent tyres are not ideal from the point of view of groans.

We expect to have the new type of tread running on 20-G4. in France in about three weeks' time and will keep you posted on further developments.
