36-EX Car - Radiator Tests at Brooklands.

We are putting this car into the shop to-day for preparation for tests to be carried out at Brooklands. Will you please carry out the following :-

(1)
Fit the test radiator which you have prepared for us (fitted with its cowls etc.).

(2)
Determine whether it is possible to change the fan pulleys without removing the radiator.

(3)
Fit the high speed fan pulleys which we are at present in the stores.

(4)
Ensure that (a) the standard fan fitted to the car at present, (b) the modified Cadillac rigid blade fan which we will hand to you, (c) the copy of the Cadillac rigid blade fan which you have made for us, (d) the flexible blade Ph.III fan which you are completing for us, will run satisfactorily within the fan cowling which is fitted to the test radiator.

Fit up steam valve scheme/parts to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}145 on the radiator (all are completed).

Disconnect the venturis in the top water pipes (leave them in position as far as possible) and substitute the thermometer pocket pipes which we will hand you - also fit thermometers, which we will hand you, to read top outlet water temperature of each block, bottom water temperature, temperature of air leaving matrix, air temperature (in front of radiator). these should be fitted to dash by suitable brackets.

Fit the electrical thermometer which we will hand you, to read in the normal pocket at rear of cylinder head, and connect up the instrument (fitted to dashboard) to the battery.
