X300 GRYLLS - We must try out these points when the car is next in the shop. Please arrange Pom To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. Zoo, Ldr. re SpectreCodename for Phantom III. We are anxious to determine as soon as possible that the accessibility of various SpectreCodename for Phantom III components which may require attention from time to time is satisfactory, and we shall therefore be glad if you could have this investigated in the case of the following items:- (1) Dynamo. It should be possible to remove this with reasonable facility by undoing the coupling bolts through the window provided, and slacking off the set screws carrying the machine on its spigot mounting (2) Oil Filter. It should be reasonably easy to withdraw the felt filtering element after removing the filter body cover. (3) Oil Relief Valves. Tests should be made to see that the relief valve covers can be removed, and the valves inspected. (4) Oil Level Indicator. It should be possible to completely remove the oil drain and level device from the engine as a unit and correct for faults, if present. (5) Water Drain Cock. It should be possible to operate the water drain cock, together with its spring lock, without too much difficulty. | ||
