84094. Expl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/MJ. 27th. July 1932. Adamant Engineering Co., Ltd., Dallow Road, Luton. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 25th.inst., Ref: FGM/AGS/CB., and note that you have recently improved your steering the main features being the inclusion of roller bearings at each end of the cam and also roller bearings in the rocker shaft. We should like to know whether you consider that it would be possible to modify the steering that we have and bring it up to date, or whether if we wish to try your latest improvement it will be necessary to have a completely new steering. You will appreciate that we are rather reluctant to alter the outside dimensions of the steering box. We should be glad to have your recommendations on the subject, and at the same time if possible a price for carrying out your suggestions. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
