6119 c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} S. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les for HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} BY/RD.2/B.7.3.39. PHANTOM III CHASSIS. D.CD.1152 - IGNITION DISTRIBUTOR. SECTION 8120. We attach herewith blueprints of the following :- D.76288 - Distributor Head. 1 off. D.76289 - High Tension Terminal Insert. 24 off. In order to try out the modifications to the distributor head we do not suggest that a new mould be made, but the existing production mould should be altered and new inserts made. Will you please put 1 set in hand. There are 2 distributors per engine on Phantom III. This modification is to overcome the complaints we have had on distributor head failures, due to tracking between adjacent terminals. 1 Set of HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}'s prints, herewith to Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} BY/RD. | ||
