FORM 816 M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} C. CO. 2 Mr. Robotham: # 2 5/3/34 On the other hand we have the Pontiac 8 cylinder engine, in which the chain drives only the camshaft and no adjustment is used. We obtain equally good service with the chain in this car. Packard cars and the Cadillac 8 cylinder use the 1/2" pitch chain. Likewise the Chrysler cars use the 1/2" pitch chain. In the Chrysler two sprocket drives are used without any adjustment. Packard 8, however, have a three sprocket drive similar to the Graham-Paige 8, and the 1/2" pitch chain is used with manual adjustment. We favor the 3/8" pitch chain be used with the automatic adjustment on account of its increased flexibility. We shall be glad to receive your layouts and feel certain that we can supply you with a very desirable chain drive assembly. Yours very truly, MORSE CHAIN COMPANY SALES MANAGER Automotive Division FMH:S | ||
