Dear Mr.Hives,

Many thanks for your letter of the 3rd inst. I quite understand about the high geared axles.

I mentioned to my father that I specially wanted it on my open car and he asked me whether I thought it would be suitable for his coupe, and I suggested that he had better get into touch with your Company about it. I will, however, mention the matter again to him, but in the meantime I would be much obliged if you will make certain that the chassis which I shall have be fitted with the high gear.

Please accept my apologies for not thanking you before for your kindness in allowing me to drive the new car over to Peterborough, but I have been so very busy since going round to various works. I must say it is the most delightful car that I have ever handled, and that it must be actually driven in order to realise how extremely good it is.

I am anxiously awaiting delivery and trust that the Company will be able to keep up to the promised date.

Again thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

R.C. Stewart
