E.1/HP.13.6.34.

The glass fuses employed should have a paper slip inserted to show whether the fuse is blown or not and to state clearly the working current of each fuse, of which three sizes will be required. This means that a new moulded base and lid{A. J. Lidsey} will be required for the sealed box containing the units to which access is not desired.

To carry out the immediate change required on the Phantom in respect to the cigar lighter, instructions will be issued for using one of the accessory fuses for the cigar lighters only and the remaining accessories will be wired to the other fuse.

These same instructions will also apply to the Bentley chassis which uses the same fuse board.

With regard to the 20/25 which is still equipped with the third brush scheme, the fuse board has an insufficient number of fuses to provide a separate circuit for the cigar lighter, but as the change to vibrator control should be imminent and is only awaiting the standardisation of a suitable dynamo, the difficulty could be overcome by urging the early standardisation of this improvement which would automatically bring in the Phantom fuse board. We are therefore looking into the question of finding out how soon vibrator control can be introduced on 20/25 production. At the moment we understand material has been ordered up to and including F.2. series.
