RE: MAIN FUSES.

I have discussed the above with Mr West and he realizes the weakness of our present type of main fuse. He suggests a strip type of fuse would be better for this position and he has promised to go further into this with a view to standardising a fuse of this type.

With reference to your suggestion that the bottle type of [redacted] should be used, Mr West informs me that they are experimenting with a new junction box when all the fuses will be of the bottle type, but at the moment they are not sure that the bottle type is the best one for the main fuse position.
