Dear Roy{Sir Henry Royce}, Many thanks for both your letters of the 11th.January. I will deal with the Bentley proposition as soon as I get the necessary additional information. With regard to the Carrier, I am very interested to hear that you are thinking of the possible use of a Transmitter. You will remember that on December 2nd. I sent you a Drawing of a Transmitter suitable for the engine you mentioned and of which you have just sent me further particulars.. I have two of these Transmitters finished in stock, so that it would be fairly easy to try one out on the Carrier if there is room for it. I am going to London to-morrow and expect to be there till Friday after which my movements are a little uncertain. If I came over to see you after then, would it be advisable for me to bring one of our technical people who, I hope, knows more about the installation of the transmitter than I do. Yours sincerely Pdis. | ||
