W/S X1588 H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG13.1.23. RE. MIRACLE OIL. X1588 I think the statement you suggest is too ambiguous. It leaves the customer in the same position. We suggest something on the following lines :- Our own tests of the oil on the R-R cars have not indicated to us any advantage to justify us recommending this particular oil. Piston and cylinder lubrication on the R-R car is entirely satisfactory, and there is no necessity to add oil to the petrol for this purpose. One advantage which can be claimed for mixing oil with the petrol is that a certain amount of the lubricating oil clings to the inlet valve stems and lubricates the valves and guides. To obtain this result, however, it is not necessary to use any expensive proprietary oils. The addition of a similar amount of engine oil, will give the same results.
