Cox - Advertising Manager} X8950 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG1.9.25. 103-MC. The modified silencer fitted to 103-MC has not been altered under conditions of cutout open. There is no reason why the power, performance and noise with the cutout open should have altered. With the cutout closed, there will be a slight drop in the performance above 60 m.p.h. compared with the present standard Phantoms which you are receiving. The drop in power with the cutout closed will be no greater percentage than the Silver Ghost. As regards the riding in front of 103-MC. Whilst this car was at the Works we checked the front shock absorbers and found that these were set to 70 lbs. The standard works setting is 30 lbs. We did not alter them because we thought they may have been altered for some special purpose. We suggest however that if the riding of the car is to be criticised, the shock absorbers should be set normal. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
