Clarifying that an issue with a Thermometer mounting on car 1.EX is due to using an old dashboard, not a design error.

To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ c. to BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} c. to EH. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.F.C. x.3565- COPY. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/EF4.12.19. x 2565 RE CAR 1.EX. x 3565- With reference to EH3/LG3.12.19 the statement in the last paragraph that there is a D.O. error on the Rosette in the new Thermometer mounting is not correct. The position of the Rosette found on 1.EX is due to the old Dashboard being used. Mr. Coverley pointed out that Dashboard material was difficult to get and that to fit this new Dashboard (to LeC.1121) to 1.EX would mean tearing down the Car. We therefore agree that in this particular case the old Dashboard could be used. This accounts for the dropped position of the Rosette with reference to the Thermometer Bulb, and for the hole in the Dashboard being larger than required by the Rosette.
