With reference to the present 40/50 H.P., if we use the thermostat as arranged, we do not need thermometers, which appear to be rather unsatisfactory, both as regards fitting and remaining in permanently good order; the one on 1.EX has stopped. As regards smoke in the body, I notice that it is highly desirable that the breather should be capable of blowing the fumes from the crankchamber outside the undershield or behind the holes for the pedals.
