X2465 Expl. Dept. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/MJ. 13th. May, 1935. Messrs. John Macphie & Co. Ltd., Bush House, London. W.C.2. Dear Sirs, Replying to your letter of the 11th.inst., reference AGB/MT. We are entirely satisfied with the oils we at present recommend for use on Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars and we are not in a position at the present time to carry out tests on any new oils. The tests which we consider are necessary in order to satisfy ourselves that an oil is suitable for our products are expensive and take a long time to conduct. At the present time we cannot think of undertaking such tests. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
