| To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} 300a Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}14/AP.15.6.37 32-EX. (No.13. UNIT) For your records the following valve springs have been fitted to the above unit. B.side - Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}260. A.side - EB.175. We have decided to retain these springs for the 15,000 miles which therefore deletes the fitting of special springs and guides as requested in our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}1/AP.10.6.37. (1) Prior to fitting the above springs we had several failures with the original set and would like the cylinder heads removing purely for inspection of the valves. (2) There is an appreciable loss in ignition movement between the hand control and the governor, will you please correct. (3) Modification to the spring drive centre plate in accordance with our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}1/AP.10.6.37.
