FROM BENTON & STONE LTD., CONTINUED. DATE July 13th 1921 Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. DERBY. No.3. In the 3/8" gas nipple we are not in any way confined for space, and the cheaper form of holding the Spring can be used, and further there is absolutely no fear of the ball crushing the spring. The difference in cost would be something like 40%, but these figures we are verifying and will give you the actual difference, and the prices of the various nipples in a day or so's time. These prices will of course be for quantities, and we take it we are correct in quoting for both Polishing & Plating the Nipple, and using the same size hexagon as it at present used on your Greasers, as we imagine that you possibly have a standard Spanner in your Kit which fits this, but should this not be so we think it would be advisable for you to reduce the size of hexagon to our standard nipple, one of which we enclose herewith, which seems to us to be plenty large enough, and tends to make the nipple a little neater. We regret at the moment we cannot give you the price of the 1/2 dozen Sets, but we are having these figures gone into immediately, and with a view to not holding the job up we are putting the work in hand at once in the hope that our price will be satisfactory, and that you will eventually pass us the order. Please rest assured that the whole job is having the writer's personal attention, and we will write you more fully in the course of a day or so. Yours faithfully, BENTON & STONE, LTD. Director. Enc.
