Oy4-W-81523 August 15, 1928. Mr. Claude Johnson, Rolls-Royce, Limited, London, England. (Copy for attention of Mr. Royce) (Mr. Platford) (Mr. Hives) Dear Sir: Re Boyce Motometer We enclose proposal sheet for use of Boyce distance-type thermometer in place of Foxboro instrument. While the saving in cost is not considerable, we anticipate a very great saving in delay and expense through broken tubes on service and in assembly at the coachworks. Also fitting thermometers on test chassis will be a great benefit to test. We enclose in this envelope a short sample of the new Boyce tube with braided copper cover. Oy. | ||
