1297 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}9/JH. 17th. January, 1939. Messrs. Servais Silencers Ltd., Ashford Works, Ashford Road, Cricklewood, LONDON.N.W.2. Ref. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}15/JH. Oct. 5th. 1938. Dear Sirs, In reply to your letter of the 11th. inst. ref. FLG/WNT. I would point out that I sent you a letter on the 5th. of October last with regard to the Servais Silencer, marked for the attention of Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Dare Lea to which I received no reply. This is not the first communication to which no reply has been received, and we are rather fed up with the whole business. However enclosed is a copy of my last letter, from which you will see that a considerable improvement in your silencer will be necessary before we can entertain the idea of fitting another one. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
