Messrs. Lea & Servais Ltd.,
6, Old Pye Street,

LONDON.S.W.1.

For the attention of Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Dare Lea.

Dear Sirs,

Further to my letter of 11th. May 1938. I now have to inform you that your silencer which has been running on one of our Phantom lll cars for the last 7 months, covering a mileage of 10,053 miles, has now blown out of the back plate together with a considerable amount of noise absorbing material from inside the silencer.

This mileage of course is very small compared with our own product, and I would like to know whether you would like me to send the silencer back to you for your inspection, or whether you would like to visit Derby and look at the silencer here.

Will you please let me know your intentions when you reply.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
