CAR WORK GENERALLY.

The following points should be noticed with reference to the discussion held 3/12/36:-

P.III.
(1) Hardy will issue a standardisation sheet as soon as he has seen the ball ends on 35-EX.

(2) It is understood that 275 P.III gearboxes will go out without the concertina piece to prevent gears coming out of mesh.

(3) Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} will follow up the new front roll rod on the P.III with a view to having it fitted to the Continental car.

(4) Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} will give a definite date when he expects to start a standardisation sheet for the improved Arens Shock Absorber Control.

(5) Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} will continue his experiments on frame noise. He will also investigate whether anything is being done on American cars.

(6) Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} will issue his report on sideways shake on 4/12/36, together with a programme of future work.

(7) Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} will give me a promise for the P.III Continental manifold.

(8) Mths.{Reg Matthews} will collect all available information on P.III cylinder wear.

(9) Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} will see HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} to see why we cannot have improved Continental hand brake leverage on 35-EX.

(10) Dixon & Ratcliffe will experiment with a larger needle valve seat in the Stromberg carburetter with a view to improved petrol consumption. Any results obtained will be proved out by Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} on 32-EX.
