To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X5830 EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/12.5.261 SUBFRAME - BODIES, 40/50 AND 20 HP. X.8830 X.8830 X.8840 We have drawn up the enclosed report on the subject of subframe bodies as suggested by yourself. The body weights given are derived from such complete car weights as we have been able to collect from Sales, the coachbuilders and yourselves. Some of them are not at all reliable as we are not told with what equipment they are weighed. The results do not do the cause of the subframe justice. Could you possibly arrange to get some or all of the cars weighed with a full standard equipment, i.e. petrol, oil, water, complete R-R tools and spares, spare wheels, lamps etc. With each weight it would be necessary to give any deviation from the chassis specification and what, if any, spares and accessories are missing, also the number of spare wheels carried. In the case of the one car the writer was able to have correctly weighed it will be noticed that the body weight is quite low. We suggest that you may be able to supply us with particulars of GF-68, 8-EX, 9-PK and 10-G-111. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
