R/WBT. 19th February, 1935. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} THOMPSON, ESQ., Middleton Hall, Kings Lynn, NORFOLK. Dear Mr. Thompson, I have to-day received a letter from Robotham in which he explains that when he arranged the deal for your new car with Bentley Motors Ltd., that he reserved the right for you to place the order through any trader you might wish to name; and so I am afraid my advice to you on Saturday was incorrect when I told you that you had to do the deal through Bentley Motors Ltd., as a deposit had been paid to them. You are at liberty to deal with whom you like. Messrs. Park, Ward would, I am sure, be very pleased to make you the best offer that they possibly could for your old car in part exchange for a new Bentley, and if by an chance you would care for them to do so, would you please let me know the details of the car, and/or cars, which you wish them to take in part exchange (i.e. year of manufacture, make, horse power, and type of body) and I will ask them to do their best for you. With reference to our interview on Saturday. I am to-day writing to Messrs. Park, Ward asking them to let you know as soon as they have a 25 h.p. R.R. with the type of body (with division) which you wish to see in their works. I understand from them that they are writing you as promised making you an offer for your Bentley within so many months in the event of your wishing to exchange it for a Rolls-Royce. Please let me know if there is ever anything further I can do for you in the matter. I should be only too pleased to be of use in any way I could. Yours sincerely, R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
