Dear Mr. Hopkins,

We have now got 40 sets of your clutch linings in customers hands, and so far have had no 'come-backs'.

We have just received the second consign-ment and are proceeding with the tests on it right away.

You will observe that we have ordered 1,000 pieces similar to the first lot through Vandervell's, who told me they would be getting it from you.

We should like to thank you again for the way you have helped us in this matter.

We attach a drawing of a brake servo lining, of which we are particularly anxious to get samples in this graphite bronze material. It is not necessary to bother about the slots as we could put them in, the inside diameter should be 3.550". If you want to supply the stuff .100" thick, we could use packing behind it. We are asking this lining to stand up to high unit pressures without fading or scoring.

I am very disturbed to find that you have not yet had any quantity of our aluminium tin bearing alloy. I understood from Mr. Hives that Devereux was going to send
